He has 33 senior caps having made his debut in 2013. Barkley has enjoyed a return to form after signing for Luton on a free transfer last August and has emerged as a key figure under Rob Edwards.
“I’m just enjoying the moment really and I believe that whatever’s to come, it’ll be enjoyable. Until I retire, I’m just going to enjoy this time now.” Barkley has played 26 times for Luton in all competitions this season and started their last 17 matches, playing as one of the holding midfielders in Edward’s 3-4-3 system. England manager Gareth Southgate, meanwhile, will name his squad for the home friendlies against and on March 23 and 26 respectively next week.
