Carlton Morris's penalty at Kenilworth Road ensured Luton would collect their first point in the rebranded Premier League after five straight defeats

Wolves midfielder Jean-Ricner Bellegarde had been sent off on 39 minutes for a petulant kick on Tom Lockyer, which meant Luton played over 50 minutes with a numerical advantage.

But they could not fully capitalise on the opportunity as they only scored with one of their 20 shots, alongside enjoying 57 per cent possession.Luton, who have the smallest budget in the league, are bookies favourites to be relegated and remain bottom of the table. Morris had also scored their first goal in the Premier League in their 4-1 opening day defeat to Brighton.

This means Luton have still only scored one non-penalty goal all season – Mads Andersen’s late consolation against West Ham – but fans will not be worrying about that today.
