Last but not least, the video gives us a look at the crossover’s electric powertrain. Lotus has been coy on specifics, but previously confirmed their upcoming electric vehicles will feature 800-volt technology and battery packs with capacities ranging from 92-120 kWh. They’ll also offer impressive performance as some models will be able to accelerate from 0-62 mph in less than three seconds.
We’ll learn more next month, but the Type 132 will ride on Lotus’ Premium architecture which supports C- to E-segment vehicles with wheelbases spanning 113.7 to 122 inches . The platform will be used to underpin a variety of different models including a four-door coupe in 2023, a smaller crossover in 2025, and a sports car in 2026.
