A “charming” home that was once a farm designed as a replica of one built for Marie Antoinette is on the market.
Antoinette Court in Abbots Langley was originally part of the Ovaltine Dairy Farm built in 1932 but is now a courtyard of residential properties.Savills Rickmansworth residential sales team director Sue Trybus said: “This charming home has been thoughtfully updated by the current owners and offers bright and light accommodation complemented by immense character.
The building was converted into a courtyard of homes with communal gardens in the 1980s. The home on the market now has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, utility room, dining room, and a sitting room over two floors.It was designed as a replica of one built by King Louis XVI of France for Queen Marie Antoinette before closing in 1979 and reopening for residential use in 1982.
