The Lions were unable to cause an upset as Rangers ran out 2-0 winners in West Lothian
Goals in either half from Cyriel Dessers and a James Tavernier penalty ensured the Lions fell to a fifth straight loss - although there can at least be some positives to take from a spirited second half display.
The away side predictably controlled much of the play but they passed up a great opportunity to take a 12th minute lead as Dessers got in behind the defence, but was repelled at the near post by a smart Shamal George save. Having seen a Rangers goal chalked off, Livi breather another sigh of relief as James Tavernier sent a 23rd minute penalty wide after George was ruled to have brought down McCausland when racing from his goal. Phillipe Clement's side had to wait just two minutes before finally getting themselves in front, though.
Rangers had the ball in the net once more as the first half ticked into the final minute as McCausland fired home, but a foul in the build-up from Abdallah Sima on Montano ruled that out.
