A Liverpool writer has helped thousands of people promoting writing and reading with people of all ages.
“Participants not only can express themselves creatively, but also develop literacy, knowledge, interpersonal skills, self-esteem and positive mental health.
Dave said: "We've developed long-term relationships with centres in Liverpool 8, including The Methodist Youth Centre, The Greenhouse Project and also Acronym Community Enterprise. At Windsor Primary, pupils regularly attended our after school poetry club. Dave's passion for creativity and communication led him to set up The Windows Project in 1976, which registered as a charity in 1981, as he knew the benefits of sharing this with others. His work has appeared in over 200 magazines and anthologies, and five collections, including Jambo, giving voice to a seventeen-year-old living in a tower block, published by Paul Weller, with episodes appearing on BBC2’s Oxford Road Show.
