The latest Liverpool news as the Premier League clubs will vote on if to scrap VAR or not this summer with Wolves pushing for the league to walk away from the technology after some key mistakes.
Liverpool were the club who suffered the most from VAR mistakes in the past season, according to the Premier League’s Independent Key Match Incidents panel.
The closest other club is Wolves who had thee incorrect decisions against and none for and Brighton, who had four against and one for. Nottingham Forest and Burnley are the other two teams to have more incorrect decisions go against them then they had for. Tottenham vs Liverpool Luis Diaz was ruled as offside for what would have been the opening goal of the game, which eventually ended in a 2-1 loss. A communication error led to the decision not being overturned with Spurs opening the scoring soon after.
In terms of league position, for Liverpool, the decisions didn't have a direct impact on their position in the table. Even if every decision was correct they would have still finished in third place behind Man City and Arsenal.
