Two lawmakers who recovered from the coronavirus donate their plasma
MOSCOW — Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, he told Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday evening.
Mishustin informed Putin of the positive test result Thursday during a video conference call. Putin noted that contracting the virus “could happen to anyone.”ByNew York City will shut down its subway system daily during the lowest ridership hours to ramp up its disinfecting campaign from every 72 hours to every 24.
Ridership is down 92 percent, but essential workers rely on the system to get to their jobs, Cuomo said, and the government is obligated to ensure that the public transportation system is as safe as possible. That means disinfecting “everything that people could be touching,” from turnstiles to seats to handrails, Cuomo said.
She implied, however, that lawmakers will return to Washington only once the second Cares Act is ready for a vote. “We want to do it in a way that if people have to stay home because of this — whether it’s about themselves, a family member or the transportation, which is more difficult now — that remote voting will enable them to do that,” Pelosi said. “But we just have to get enough people here to do the remote voting, and I feel quite confident.”
