A weather warning is in place for Nottinghamshire
approaches. There will be heavy rain from 7pm today until 5am on Thursday, October 19, according to the Met Office.warns: "Storm Babet will bring a period of very wet weather to many eastern parts of England, the Pennines and Scotland later this week."
Looking ahead to Thursday, the Met Office adds: "Often rather cloudy but also some bright or sunny spells. Scattered showers, some heavy and perhaps thundery are also likely. Lighter winds than Wednesday. Maximum temperature 17 °C."
