A stretch of Flixton Road is shut
According to traffic alert service Inrix, the road is closed in both directions between Princess Road and Monksdale Avenue. Traffic is heavy in the area.A Stagecoach bus service is also on a diversion route due to the incident. In a post on X, Stagecoach said: "Route 255. A police incident has closed Flixton Rd close to Victoria Rd Junction.
"We will be diverting the 255 via Croffs Bank Rd, Moorside Rd and Bowfell Rd in both directions until further notice. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.
