‘Slamming’ occurs when someone switches your electric service to a different provider without your authorization.My husband and I had our electricity provider changed without our consent. We had been signed up for a plan with a low rate that ends in August 2023. I got it corrected, but they put us on a month-to-month plan at a much higher rate.
