Screen Rant is thrilled to present an exclusive clip from IFC Films' new romantic comedy, Life Upside Down. The movie is set in the early days of the global pandemic, when people were still trying to adjust to the reality of being at home 24/7 and how that impacted jobs, relationships, and identity. Life Upside Down follows three couples that are forced to find a way to navigate through their relationships in the world of 2020.
Forced to confront their family, friends, spouses, and eventually themselves, each person's life is turned upside down and forever changed from what it used to be. A number of movies and series across genres have taken inspiration from the pandemic, some out of necessity while filming and others leaning into the difficulties of the time for comedy or drama. Life Upside Down premiered at the 2022 Venice Film Festival. Life Upside Down will debut in theaters and On Demand on January 27.
Mitchell and Odenkirk perfectly capture the distress and discomfort of adjusting a relationship from the casual intimacies that were shared in person to the more difficult digital communications. The longing but out-of-sync feelings and communication harkens back to the early days of the pandemic when telecommunication was still hard to adjust to.
Life Upside Down is written and directed by Cecilia Miniucchi. Life Upside Down stars Radha Mitchell , Danny Huston , Rosie Fellner , and Bob Odenkirk . Life Upside Down has a runtime of 88 minutes and is distributed by IFC Films, joining a wide range of recent releases, including the historical drama Corsage, the dark comedy Spin Me Round, and the science-fiction post-apocalyptic movie Vesper.Life Upside Down debuts in theaters and On Demand on January 27.
