A giant ice cream cone will mark the spot of a new shop opening in Broad Ripple.
Lick Ice Cream will serve its hand-crafted, small-batch product from the tiny 1049 East 54th St. space that had housed Wyliepalooza Ice Cream Emporium.Lick, owned by sisters Meredith Kong and Kelly Ryan, took over the lease and will open during the first week of November, Kong said.
Wyliepalooza had been operating from the space seasonally, serving Chocolate Shoppe ice cream, a Madison, Wisconsin, brand. Lick ice cream is made in Indianapolis. The South Broad Ripple shop will eventually dip 12 flavors at a time. A few bar seats will be available inside along the window of the tiny structure. Outside seating will be available in the spring and the spot’s walk-up order window will be utilized in warm weather.Flatland Kitchen is designing the interior and a giant ice cream cone will mark the spot outside.Wyliepalaooza sold its Irvington location at 5535 E.
