“I was on my social media and all I could see was the hurt and pain that my black trans brothers and sisters were posting about this town hall not including the murders of black trans women, nor any issues that trans men face,” Brown said. “I appreciate my cis allies speaking up about trans women of color. It was frustrating to me that they had to do that while several of us were in the room and could have spoken on our own issues. That was what did it for me.
