The litany cited in the article has nothing to do with “rightward shift”: ad hominem attacks against elected officials, cover-ups, favoritism, disregard of public oversight, lashing out against reporters and critical columnists, grandstanding and departmental secrecy. I am so tired of little men in high places without regard for the public service duties of their office.It appears that Villanueva has been forced into a runoff in November. He spent far more than any of his opponents on a misleading advertising campaign for his reelection.
