The destruction of our environment and entire ecosystems at risk of collapsing is plain for all to see, yet we ignore and resist substantive efforts to avoid impending calamity and continue to be one of the most anti-environmental states in the union. A recent study found that Utah’s magnesium refinery is responsible for 10%-25% of the PM 2.5 in our air.

The Legislature wants to waste $2 million to sue the EPA so coal mines don’t have to clean up their mess and meet air quality regulations.Save water by paying farmers to let their alfalfa fields lay fallow every other year.Legalize rainwater collection.Install wind turbines in our canyons and battery backup.

The LDS Church could become a major source of green energy production by installing solar and wind power at their facilities.
