The two sets of parents have very different ideas about when their babies will celebrate their birthdays in the future
Everyone thinks that their birthday is special - but what about having the rarest birthday possible? For babies born on February 29, otherwise known as ‘leaplings’, their birthday only comes around once every four years - well, technically.
Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust welcomed two leap day babies today - but the parents had conflicting ideas about when their children will celebrate their birthdays in the future. Sophie White and Michael Whytock, who live in Roundhay, welcomed baby Ivy Rose Whytock into the world at 12.13pm, weighing 8lb 4oz.
Liana Rolfe and Tom Calland have welcomed baby Ruby Harriet Calland. Born today weighing 7lb 5oz, she is their first baby.
