The predictable cycle of Wilfried Gnonto exit stories has started with less than two months to run until the January transfer window opens for Leeds United and others
Ten matches stand between Leeds United and the January transfer window yet the most predictable wantaway speculation in the squad has already started. Wilfried Gnonto, according to reports which first began in Italy, is allegedly unhappy at Elland Road and keen on a move home.

If the German is not entertaining the prospect of the former Inter Milan forward leaving, it’s not going to happen.
Every briefing under the sun can be being made in Italy, but it must hardly be something even on Farke’s radar right now. Everything can change between now and January 1. It’s there for Gnonto if he wants to give Farke a hard decision to make. If his impact does not improve and the injury situation remains as it is going into the transfer window, it’s easier to see why a sizeable offer could prompt a conversation in the boardroom with Farke.
Interest in Nadiem Amiri showed United’s eye for a natural playmaker and a more traditional number 10 remains an elusive gap in this squad. Selling Gnonto for someone of that ilk could be a possibility, but also a risk.
