Here are our four talking points from Leeds United's 2-0 win over Millwall at Elland Road in the Championship as Wilfried Gnonto and Daniel James prove the difference
After 176 days, Leicester City’s uninterrupted reign at the top of the Championship is over. The Foxes have looked head and shoulders above the rest of this division for more than 25 weeks, but they have finally been supplanted.
The right-wing battle for supremacy One of the tightest calls Daniel Farke has to seemingly make for each game is who starts on his right wing. Daniel James and Wilfried Gnonto have emerged as two of the most evenly-matched assets the manager has in any one position. The Wales international has been at a high level all season and can only point to an injury in the Norwich City home win as his one down point. James was cut down during his best spell of the season, after six returns in five games.
When most of us would have rushed a panicked, desperate shot at goal, James had the composure to take a touch, commit defenders and then rifle home. These are two of the bankers Farke can rely on right now. "It was also important today not to give anything away and the best statistic of the game was probably with the corners, 13-2 for us, because they're so dangerous out of this situation," he said.
It’s coming, though. The final furlong is rapidly approaching. There are 12 days between games now, though a lot of United’s players will be travelling around the world for international matches in that time.
