The Whites have a golden opportunity to send a statement to the rest of the Championship in the coming weeks
Leeds United took their opportunity to close the gap to early pace setters Ipswich Town after the Tractor Boys game with Rotherham United was postponed due to the fallout of Storm Babet. Kieran McKenna's side have a game in hand and a six-point cushion over Daniel Farke's side, but the Whites have a decent run of fixtures on the horizon.
Although the bookmakers odds count for very little when it comes to action on the pitch, they can often be used as a guidepost for how teams are faring. Farke's men have won four of their last five games and could have won five games on the bounce by the time they take on Leicester City at the beginning of November - which would make them genuine title contenders.
Then at the weekend, the Whites take on Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town who're also predicted to struggle this year. Darren Moore's side have taken four points from their last two games, but Leeds will be wanting to take advantage of their kinder fixture list compared to their top-two rivals.
