Daniel Farke has given an injury update as Leeds United look to follow up their comeback win at Norwich City with another victory at Stoke City
Daniel Farke has confirmed injured Leeds United trio Stuart Dallas, Junior Firpo and Djed Spence will not make imminent returns to action. The Whites boss was asked for a team news update ahead of their upcoming clash with Stoke City, and admits the aforementioned three players are still weeks away from coming into contention.
Leeds will be looking to record their fifth victory in their last six league outings when they travel to the Bet365 Stadium on Wednesday night. Stoke City will be looking to build upon their own recent success, with the Potters edging a narrow home win over Sunderland last time out. Leo Hjelde missed the comeback victory at Norwich City last time out after picking up an Achilles complaint over the international break. Farke has revealed the young defender is available for selection against Stoke, while he has no further injury concerns to consider following the 3-2 win at Carrow Road.He told reporters: "Leo is ready to go, also all the other lads came good through the game. Obviously we have our long-term injuries with Djed Spence and Stuart Dallas.
Farke added: "I think for Junior Firpo, he needs a couple of weeks of team training. It would be too early to send him out, also Stuart. First of all, he has to join us in team training, he needs full sessions on a consistent basis which will last several weeks. "Djed Spence is also still not in team training, so perhaps a few younger players who won't make it to the squad will get some minutes. But from the long-term injuries, no news."
