Food hygiene inspectors have slammed a Leeds Indian restaurant saying parts of the business have become a “dumping ground” which “wasn’t being routinely cleaned”.
There had been no recent visits from pest control, at the time of the report. There was “inadequate “use-by” date coding of high-risk foods”. And cooked ready to eat prawns were found alongside a plastic bag of raw meat in the fridge, risking cross contamination. In regards to part of the business being treated as a “dumping ground,” as the inspector put it, Mohammed said the main kitchen used is very large so they put cardboard boxes of stock in a smaller kitchen which wasn’t being used since lockdown. He said: “The only problem was during lockdown, we put some of our stock in a kitchen which we had to remove. We want another inspection as we’ve got everything sorted and everything is clean now.
