The former Leeds United winger admits he didn't want to leave Manchester United
Former Leeds United winger Lee Sharpe says he didn't want to leave Manchester United but felt he deserved more game time. He would make the move to Elland Road in 1996 after a glistening career at Old Trafford.
"I didn’t want to leave the club, the team and my teammates but I just wasn’t getting on with Fergie," Sharpe told AGamble.com. "I went in and mentioned that I would be interested in a transfer, well I got my solicitor rather than me personally to ring the club and say that I was looking for a move.
