Parliament members in crisis-hit Lebanon fail for a 12th time on Wednesday to elect a new president, leaving the country without a leader for more than seven months
Hezbollah member of parliament Hassan Fadlallah said only"consensus" would bring about a successful presidential election.
The international community has urged politicians to elect a consensus presidential candidate who can help the country enact reforms required to unlock billions of dollars in loans from abroad. On June 12 he said he wanted to"contribute to a solution" not a crisis, as he announced his bid for the post.
