The LDS Church sent a letter to Heber Valley residents about a new temple. But some say it isn’t a true snapshot of how conversations about the temple have played out.
An artist's rendering of the Heber Valley Temple on display at a groundbreaking Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022.A letter from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints about the planned temple in the Heber Valley sparked a flurry of responses from Wasatch County residents.
But Heber City resident Bruce Van Dusen said the letter isn’t a true snapshot of how conversations about the temple have played out. He said he’s frustrated the church has largely communicated through lawyers, without soliciting much community feedback, and that the letter tries to obscure some of the concerns residents have raised.
