His observations of the behavior regarding the court’s handing of Trump’s request concerning “absolute immunity” are easily understandable and quite to the point. “Much of the argument was quite “depressing” in the sense that it really amounted to four justices — Brett Kavanaugh, Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch and Clarence Thomas — in search of a lifeline for Donald Trump,” Tribe observed.
It was a shameful performance by the court, buying the very time that Donald Trump wanted in order to eventually avoid justice and a trial by his peers before the election.
