Constantine II, the last monarch before Greece became a republic, was a friend of King Charles III - to whom he was related via Prince Philip
Doctors at the private Hygeia Hospital in Athens confirmed that Constantine died late Tuesday after treatment in an intensive care unit. He is survived by his wife, Anne-Marie, and his five children, and nine grandchildren.
