Fields of dazzling, sun-brilliant cosmos wave in the wind, beckoning tourists to Wildseed Farms, a colorful tourist attraction on U.S. 290 near Fredericksburg.With another 650 acres in cultivation in Colorado County, west of Houston, Wildseed Farms grows 36 varieties of wildflowers and harvests more than 100,000 pounds of seeds annually. Between one-third and one-half of those are bluebonnet seeds, making Wildseed the world's largest grower of the Texas state flower.
