There is no longer a timeframe for Anthony Davis' return.
The Los Angeles Lakers star sustained a stress injury in his right foot, the team announced on Thursday afternoon. He will now be out indefinitely.
After extensive consultation with Lakers team physicians and outside specialists, it has been determined that Anthony Davis has a stress injury in his right foot. Davis will be out indefinitely. Further updates will be provided when appropriate.Davis was initially expected to miss just a month with the injury, something he sustained in last week's win over the Denver Nuggets.
The pain has apparently subsided in in the past several days, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. He's expected to rest his foot for another week or so before it will be re-evaluated. At that point, the team will have a better idea on a timeframe for his return.Davis has averaged 27.4 points, 12.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game this season — all while the Lakers have rebounded from their brutal 2-10 start to the year.
