A mother and her three children were killed in a shooting in an apartment Tuesday night in Lake Wales, Florida, police said. The Lake Wales Police Department is searching for 38-year-old Al Stenson of Lake Wales.

His relation to the victims was not released, per WTSP.Police said officers arrived just before 9 p.m. at an apartment complex due to a medical emergency. Once they got there, they found a woman, her two adult children, and a younger child dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
The shooting is one of many in recent months in the United States that have renewed calls from gun control advocates for reform.
