They will be selected on Saturday, November 11.
Labour is on the verge of selecting a new candidate to run for Wellingborough and Rushden as ex-Tory MP Peter Bone is set to face a vote deciding if his 18-year stint representing the area will come to an end.
Constituents on the electoral register can sign the recall petition in person, by post or by proxy. If ten per cent of residents sign the petition Bone will be removed from his seat and a by-election will be triggered.Peter Bone has held the North Northamptonshire seat since 2005 and won with a 19,000 majority last election. Some potential Labour candidates have already taken to social media to declare their intention to run for selection in the Wellingborough ward.
Another name running for selection in the constituency is local Labour activist Chris Ashton. He has highlighted some critical intentions in his candidacy as fighting to renew dying high streets and supporting veterans.
