The Warriors led 126-121 with 42 seconds to play when Curry — the man most responsible for making the Warriors a dynasty — made the most significant error of his career by calling a timeout.“The time-out is 100 percent on me,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. “I’ve got to remind the guys, ‘We’re out of timeouts,’ and I didn’t say that, so Steph wasn’t aware. That’s on me for not making it clear.”
The mistake resulted in a technical foul, giving the Kings a foul shot, and the ball. Sacramento made the foul shot and a 3-pointer to make it a one-point game with 28 seconds remaining.
