The figure of Mahfud MD has recently emerged again as a potential vice presidential candidate who is worthy of being compared to Ganjar Pranowo. Does Mahfud MD's potential voter support match Ridwan Kamil's?
The latest indication of the emergence of the figure of the Minister of Political, Legal and Security Affairs was implied in an election discussion forum that was broadcasted on the Kemenko Pohukam media channel on Wednesday . Hasto Kristiyanto, the Secretary General of PDI-P, in his reading material, briefly mentioned Mahfud as one of the prospective vice presidential candidates.
As an illustration, when paired with Mahfud MD, no less than 33.9 percent of respondents intend to choose him. Compare this with the simulation results that place Ganjar alongside Ridwan Kamil, which is estimated to attract around 34.8 percent of respondents. Similarly, from a political perspective that is related to party identity, supporters of Ganjar are still largely concentrated among PDI-P voters. Although some voters from other parties are also significant, there is still a need to expand support from sympathizers of other, more significant political parties.
