Through 12 games, Quickley is averaging 7.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 21.3 minutes off the bench. He is shooting a career-low 28.3 percent from beyond the arc, though his corner 3 with 40.5 seconds left in Friday’s game against the Pistons helped the Knicks pull away for a win.The Kentucky product, whom the Knicks drafted 25th overall in 2020, averaged 11.4 points per game over his first two years in New York.
Quickley is currently a key part of coach Tom Thibodeau’s rotation, vying for guard minutes behind Jalen Brunson and Cam Reddish alongside Evan Fournier, Derrick Rose and Quentin Grimes. Reddish is due to be a free agent at the end of the season. The Knicks’ next game will be Sunday afternoon when they play host to the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Garden.
