Ohio State freshman Brice Sensabaugh will not return to game action this season due to a knee injury.
Following the game, coach Chris Holtmann said Sensabaugh would be further evaluated Friday night in Chicago.
“We love to have Brice on the court,” sixth-year forward and captain Justice Sueing said. “He does so much for us offensively and defensively. He raised our elevation of play. We have a lot of players on this team that can step up to the plate.”On the official pregame radio show, Holtmann said,"Brice had an MRI last night. It revealed a knee injury that is not significant but is going to keep him out for a little bit here.
A third-team all-conference player and projected first-round NBA Draft pick, Sensabaugh is averaging 16.3 points and 5.4 rebounds this season. In wins against Wisconsin and Iowa, he has averaged 12.5 points and 7.5 rebounds and shot 61.1% from two-point range. In two games this season against Purdue, Sensabaugh scored 21 and 20 points and was 18 for 33 from the floor.
