Kobbie Mainoo delivered yet another wonderful midfield display in the FA Cup quarter-final clash against Liverpool
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp appears to be an admirer of Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo. Despite United being knocked out of the FA Cup, Mainoo delivered yet another impressive performance at Old Trafford with two moments highlighting his quality.
With United searching for a route back into the game, a competitive second 45 minutes was contested with Mainoo one sacrificed for an attacking change as Christian Eriksen came onto the pitch. Prior to his departure, Mainoo timed a sliding tackle perfectly inside his own box stop Harvey Elliot breaking into space.
"I think never ever compare players with another player," Ten Hag said when asked about comparisons between Mainoo and Clarence Seedorf. "Never. Because Kobbie Mainoo, but also other players, they build their own identity.
