King Charles would only step down from the throne under one condition, says a royal expert, as he prepared celebrate his 75th birthday on Tuesday at Clarence House.
Speaking to the Daily Star, royal expert Eric Schiffer said that those hoping for King Charles to step down will have a long wait. "There is no way the King would abdicate. The only way I could see the King abdicating is if he felt he was meaningfully unable to fulfil his official duties and obligations to the crown."
