Kilmarnock stalwart Rory McKenzie admits he wants to retire in the blue and white stripes after signing a new deal with the club.
Minutes on the park might be a little down this season, with 21 of his 26 appearances having come off the bench, but he jumped at the chance to renew his deal and says he wants to finish his career with Killie.“It means a lot. I love it here at Kilmarnock and it’s all I’ve ever really known. When you’ve been at a club for so long, you do get tagged as one of the old guys.
“If I’m not playing and don’t feel I’m giving much back then I’d look at it, but ultimately I’d like to stay here until I retire. Reflecting on that, he said: “I met with Tommy Wright and then someone here got injured the next day. He may well be the wise old head in the changing room, but he’s not ready to hang up his boots just yet - even if he is well prepared for that day having already picked up a law degree. And on the park, there’s still plenty more he wants to achieve before bowing out.
