The Coatbridge charity supplies lifesaving defibrillators to sports clubs and community groups in memory of their popular team mate
Volunteers at a Coatbridge-based charity which has supplied nearly 150 lifesaving defibrillators to sports teams have received their prestigious royal recognition award.

“Whether that be your time, your fundraising or putting your hand in your pocket, your efforts have made sport so much safer for children throughout Scotland – thank you to each and every one of you.The award for voluntary service is the highest national honour for community groups; it was established to mark Queen Elizabeth II’s golden jubilee in 2002, and November’s award to the Kieran McDade Foundation was in the first tranche to be awarded by King Charles.
Its supporters have since raised thousands of pounds to supply defibrillators to sports teams and community groups across Scotland, as well as providing first aid training to more than 20,000 people of all ages.
