Families can enjoy a unique day out exploring the world of animation at a special city centre event this November. Manchester Animation Festival kicks off with fun activities and the best family-friendly films from around the world at HOME cinema on Sunday November 12.

They will learn how to model characters using plasticine before bringing them to life using the magic of stop-motion animation. The Claymation event begins at 10am and tickets cost £20 for up to two children.
Meanwhile, budding animators from across the country will be celebrated at the Young Animator of the Year Awards. The event takes place from 12pm, with general admission tickets priced at £6 and concession tickets at £5.Finally, there's the chance to catch Lupus Film's Kensuke's Kingdom - from the creators of The Snowman and The Snowdog and The Tiger Who Came To Tea.
She will be divulging what it takes to make an animation on a global scale on Tuesday November 14, while fans can buy tickets to an exclusive screening of the film at HOME on Monday November 13 - ahead of its December 15 Netflix release.
