The Jamaica international is ready to shrug off Europa League disappointment - starting with the trip to Dens Park.
Kemar Roofe insists Rangers won’t blow a domestic gasket just because of a minor malfunction in Europe.
But Thursday night in Glasgow didn’t quite go to plan as Gers couldn’t find top gear in the final third and were picked off on the break. It was a brave effort in the howling wind and rain. And there are plenty of Ibrox fans who are prepared to look on the bright side. Rangers are bang in the hunt for an incredible Treble – a notion that was unthinkable during those tough, dark autumn days towards the end of Michael Beale’s reign.
He said: “It was disappointing and frustrating to go out. It was a big night, a big occasion and we’ve done well on these sort of occasions. We prepared all week for it and we played really well. It’s just those fine margins, isn’t it? They got their goal and we didn’t manage to get one. It’s disappointing but we go again and now have another big game . We need to draw a line under this and deal with the league game.
Roofe just wants to be involved as much as possible. The 31-year-old’s future is uncertain after four injury-hit years at the club. He has contributed to some major moments over the years but staying out of the treatment room has proved troublesome. Roofe’s contract is up in the summer and there will be big calls to be made. Meantime, the frontman is just determined to stay fit and play his part in a thrilling final chapter of the campaign.
