Kelly Clarkson opens up on the Angie Martinez IRL Podcast about her split from Brandon Blackstock and her kids' response. Kelly says her kids would tell her 'I wish mommy and daddy were in the same house'.
Two years after finalizing their divorce, following their bitter split in 2020, the 41-year-old singer is reportedly feeling better than ever and 'doing really well.'
She previously won a $2.6 million judgment against Blackstock from the California Labor Commission after it ruled in November 2023 that he charged her commissions on business deals that he was not properly licensed to make. Starstruck appears to have set off the legal wrangling in September 2020 when it sued Clarkson for allegedly breaching an 'oral' contract with the management firm.
The insider noted that 'although she loves working, the kids are her world' and she's a 'hands-on and fun' mom The ruling only took into account deals made from October 20, 2019, to the end of Clarkson's association with Blackstock, and the Commission ruled that he must pay his ex-wife $2,641,374 for unlawful commissions he collected.
