Alongside Raven-Symoné, Tia and Tamera Mowry, and Kyla Pratt, Palmer was an essential part of my childhood as a young Black girl growing up in the 00s and 2010s. In a way I've practically grown up alongside Palmer, who is only three years older than me, so when she announced her, I couldn't contain my excitement like many other longtime fans.
Among her many talents, Palmer is a comedian in every sense of the word and has kept me laughing consistently since I was a youngin'. So I really shouldn't have been shocked when the comedian posted an Instagram video on January 5 claiming to have the "cure" to acne: pregnancy. Yes, you read that right, and Palmer supplied the proof with the video, showcasing the smoother, clearer skin she's been having during her own pregnancy. For context, she has often been vocal about her experience with acne, especially as a side effect ofIn the video, Palmer points to her skin, which she said isn't fully visible due to her full face of makeup. "There's no more of the bumps. There's no more of the raise.
She swore that this is the smoothest her skin has ever been. And at the end, she joked that fans should call her, who is an R&B singer with 12 children, because she plans on being "pregnant for the rest of my life" in exchange for smooth skin. Though Palmer was somewhat joking in her video, there was some truth to it as she explained how her skin started clearing up during her pregnancy. Now, I love those little orbs of chunky fat that we call babies, but I, like many folks, will gladly take acne over a baby any day .
