She asked them to join the march. The guard declined, saying they couldn't leave their post and they were protecting businesses; some chose to kneel instead., kneeling isn't the same as joining the march. "Though the kneeling — it can be seen as a walk in the same direction — we all can also see that just moments after in some of these cities where we've seen the kneeling, we've seen the teargassing and everything, the chaos afterwards," she said.
“The reality is we have a president that with every tweet incites divisiveness,” she continued. "Some would even say, a situation where our military has orders to unleash on its citizens.
She noted that she believes the protests are only the beginning, and she hopes that those participating in these protests begin to use their voice in other ways, including voting. You don't need a large platform or to be a celebrity to make a difference. “The conversation isn't just if you are or aren't racist,” Keke said. "The conversation is now — how deep is your interest in eradicating racism and what are the actions that you're willing to take to systemically change the inequalities?"
