The Labour party leader spoke about campaigns for a railway station in Skelmersdale, reopening the Skipton to Colne line and 'more devolution in Lancashire'
Keir Starmer has set out his vision for Lancashire public transport improvements after the Government's recent HS2 decision.
"We basically had 13 years of decline, everything seems to be either broken or not working properly, and we need to have a project of 10 years of national renewal. That will be hugely import for Lancashire in terms of local businesses, local skills, and the sort of building that we need to drive our country forward."
Graham then asked Sir Keir: "What would you do to stop people like that bloke in Burnley feeling like his town has been forgotten." "The ambition is there in Burnley. There are plenty of examples, and Burnley is simply one of them, but the ambition locally is huge in terms of what people want. Sir Keir said: "We will look at the plans for that. Wherever the Government has said it's going to do something then if we come into power and inherit that then we will deliver on it.
Sir Keir said: "Well Ashley's right to say that and we do need to get on and do that building. We are going to have to look at the projects the Government leaves behind if it does change at the next election but wherever there are projects that are up and running we will get on and complete them just as quickly as we can."
