The Prince of Wales couldn't explain the reason behind the strange present he gave his future wife - but Kate clearly doesn't face the same gift-giving struggles
When it comes to buying a present for the person who has everything, what do you get? The Royal Family are notorious for their funny tradition of buying each other gag gifts at Christmas time, with previous presents including a leather toilet seat, a 'grown your own girlfriend kit' and even a shower cap which had “Ain’t life a b****”.
The Prince and Princess of Wales have been happily married for 12 years and have three children together. They famously met at the University of St Andrews in 2001 and soon grew close. "That was early on in the courtship, that was - I think that sealed the deal," William added, while Peter laughed. The Prince continued: "It didn't go well. Honestly, I have no idea why I bought her a pair of binoculars, it seemed like a good idea at the time."
