EXCLUSIVE: The Princess of Wales has had a challenging first three months of 2024 as she continues to recover from a major health scare - but who can she always rely on?
It’s already been a tough year for the Princess of Wales but the events of the last few days must have felt like blows upon a bruise.
And, to top it all off, she has faced fresh criticism over the editing of her family Mother's Day photo, forcing Kate to address the issue. “I think they would both have been annoyed. They’ve done so well in keeping Catherine and her condition private that this must have been thoroughly irritating,” the BBC’s former Royal Correspondent Jennie Bond tells OK!
And tricky they may well continue to be with the Princess’s 58-year-old uncle dominating the news headlines with his stint in the CBB house. “This is really the last thing Kate needs as she tries to get stronger after the operation,” says Jennie. Touching on reports that Gary was “read the riot act” by Carole and Michael Middleton before his entry, Jennie adds: “He says his goal is to prove that he is not the caricature portrayed in the press. Well, so far, he is failing miserably.
“Gary will be under intense pressure in the house to spill the beans and ANYTHING he says, however innocent, will make the headlines. The last thing they want is for him to be their spokesperson - they don’t want him fighting their corner and they don’t want him dredging up old rows. Despite royal aides being clear from the beginning that the princess is not expected to return to public engagements until after Easter, Kate’s sighting in Windsor came after she recently found herself at the centre of outlandish online conspiracy theories questioning her whereabouts.
