KATE Middleton, Princess of Wales, has revealed she is being treated for cancer.
The 42-year-old, wife of heir apparent William, made the announcement on Friday evening.Middleton was admitted to hospital for abdominal surgery on January 16 and at the time her condition was thought to be non-cancerous but tests after the successful operation found cancer, the type of which has not been disclosed.
“This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family. As you can imagine, this has taken time.”"But, most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be OK.
Details of her condition had not been disclosed but Kensington Palace previously said it was not cancer-related and that Kate wished her personal medical information to remain private.
