Kate Hudson says she's 'open' to joining the MCU: 'I remember [Wyatt Russell] calling me and going, 'You gotta do a Marvel.' I’d be open to it, for sure. Why not? If it was right, I would love it, I think I’d have a lot of fun.'
As well-known actors continue to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Kate Hudson has weighed in on whether she would want to join the franchise. Over her long career, the actor has proven herself adept at tackling a variety of different genres. She's starred in movies like Almost Famous and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, more recently appearing in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery and the fantasy thriller Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon.

Hudson happens to be the half-sister of John Walker/U.S. Agent actor Wyatt Russell, who made his MCU debut in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Additionally, Hudson's mother's long-time partner Kurt Russell had a memorable turn as Ego in the franchise.

With Wyatt Russell appearing in the MCU Thunderbolts cast, Hudson could find a perfect place as the film's antagonist. The Marvel Comics villain Moonstone hasn't appeared in the MCU yet, but she could be a brilliant addition to the universe.
If Hudson wanted to play a hero, there is always the option of Sue Storm. The most powerful member of the Fantastic Four, Sue has been unfortunately underrated in prior Fantastic Four films. With Emily Blunt shutting down Sue Storm casting speculation, the role could be wide open. If the MCU hasn't already tapped another candidate, Hudson should be able to earn a place in the audition room.
Of course, Hudson could want to flex her talent as both a hero and a villain, which means that she may be best suited to play an old X-Men character, Emma Frost. Frost often oscillates between being a member of the evil Hellfire Club and a hero doing everything for the benefit of mutant children. Emma would set the MCU's X-Men apart from Fox's universe by serving as a perfect morally gray leader for the team.
