Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway was forced to halt the show when breaking news came in that junior doctors would be striking across England for five days
Kate Garraway , the presenter of ITV's Good Morning Britain halted the show today to deliver some breaking news.
This latest round of industrial action by British Medical Association members, which is the eleventh since March 2023, comes as they call for a 35% pay rise over the next few years. NHS chiefs have declared an alert over the potential "major disruption" with the upcoming strikes slated to impact "almost all routine care". On Wednesday 26 July, NHS England issued an announcement: "The NHS will face major disruption this week as junior doctors launch five days of industrial action, with services already under increasing pressure."
In a candid moment last week, presenter Kate had her co-host Adil Ray jump in to assist when she became noticeably "flustered" on air. After transitioning back to the studio, Kate seemed unexpectedly unprepared.
